An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.

Police detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
